More malt than hops. Brown Ale is a perfect candidate for aging--especially barrel aged Brown Ale. Our Bootjack Rye Brown Ale Collaboration with Monument City Brewing and McClintock Distillery is at the top of my list for keeping in the fridge to see just how the aromas and flavors develop as it ages.
This collab was started for Bin's 20th Anniversary when McClintock gave us an empty barrel of their award winning Bootjack Rye. We then gave the barrel to Baltimore's own Monument City Brewing who graciously aged their award winning Brown Ale for 9 months and passed the final product on to us to distribute to our fellow beer geek's and newbies alike. This is truly a gem to hold on to!
